Well.....big news, Royal wedding? Nah. Bailey on BBC 1 Extra has just done an amazing show, it appears Marcus Intalex is doing the rounds at the BBC Radio 1 studios, he's live in the mix too. He was on Fabio's show last week for an interview but this time he drops a mix. Apart from that the first hour is full of rinsing soulful tracks. Check it all out here:
Just watched "Moon" - a sci fi film that does away with good looking actors and reliance on expensive computer generated effects, and is a real hark back to those old school 70s and 80s sci fi films that were so gritty they were almost "real". I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a low budget film but well produced, good story and just....well....good! Check it out.
Well it's April 26th, a day after Anzac Day and my brothers birthday. The sydney pubs were jammed yesterday especially since it has been raining non stop over the last few days. I went and overdid it on the beers and am now paying for it with a nice little hangover. I don't drink often, which is probably the reason why it effects me so badly these days. Here's a link to some hangover cures, in case any of you are feeling the same way this Tuesday afternoon
Painted a car for Nissan at the Cleo Bachelor of the year event in Sydney on the 20th of April. If I'd had time I would've done something a bit more planned, but after taping up, the whole car was painted in about 3 hours and some outlines and details finished in pen and airbrush on the night. It was held at the Ivy bar in Sydney, all the stars were out, although not being Aussie and not watching much TV at all I didn't know who any of them were, and was unsure whether I was talking to some soap star or a member of staff!
Hopefully I'll get better pics of the artwork sent over to put up in the design or walls section
Just listened to the latest Fabio and Grooverider show on BBC 1 Extra, check it out here: www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/ under D&B. Also features an interview with none other than head honcho Marcus Intalex from Soulr recordings. www.soulr.co.uk/
Hello and welcome to the new site!
It's taken a long time, over a year to get Style Depth up and running, but finally I made it past the finish line, wheezing like a 40 a day smoker with their veins stuffed with lard! So here we are, brand new site, new portfolio, new look, new logo, new everything. Firstly thanks to everybody who's checked out the www.asonedigital.com site over the last few years, and to all the clients past and present, that have used and are using me for their creative stuff based on what they saw at asonedigital. That website served me since 2007, but it was time for a change though, and me and asonedigital had some great times, but it's time to send it to website heaven. Now I can honestly say "regular updates" will be a feature thanks to friends at www.northcolour.com who were responsible for all the back end stuff. This means I have my very own CMS, so I can add stuff as it's done.
I also have this blog, which I'm going to be updating on a weekly basis with everything that makes me tick, and stuff from around the world which I think is cool and interesting, I'll probably use it for the odd rant, but I'll try and keep that to a minimum. So, that's about it from me on the "welcome" note, take it easy peeps and enjoy the art!
